Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 14, 2026

Costa Rica Software Services LLC ("Costa Rica Software Services," "CRSS," "we" or "us") builds engineering teams in Costa Rica for US companies. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it and the choices you have.

It covers our website at costaricasoftwareservices.com, our ads and forms on LinkedIn, our business outreach, and how we work with clients and job candidates.

Information we collect

We collect information you give us, information from tools on our website, and professional information that is publicly available.

  • When you contact us. Your name, email address, phone number, company, job title, country and industry, and anything you write in our contact form or in an email.
  • When you fill out a LinkedIn lead form. The details you choose to share, such as your name, email address, company, job title and the roles you're hiring for. LinkedIn passes these to us.
  • When you visit our website. Information about your visit, such as the pages you view, your browser and device, and the site that sent you. Some of this is collected with cookies, described below.
  • From public and business sources. Professional details such as your name, title, company and LinkedIn profile, which we use to contact people about our services.
  • When you're a client. Contact and billing details for the people we work with, and the contract and project information needed to run the engagement.

If you're a job candidate, see "If you apply to work with us" below.

How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • reply to your questions and requests, including sending the candidate profiles and pricing you ask for
  • provide our services and manage client relationships, contracts and billing
  • send occasional business emails and messages about our services, which you can opt out of at any time
  • measure how our website and ads perform, and show our ads to people who have visited our site
  • recruit engineers and consider them for roles, as described below
  • keep our website and systems secure and meet our legal obligations

Cookies and advertising tools

Our website uses cookies and similar tools to understand how visitors use it and to measure our advertising.

We use the LinkedIn Insight Tag. It tells us how our LinkedIn ads perform and lets us show our ads on LinkedIn to people who have visited our site. LinkedIn gives us summary reports and does not tell us who individual visitors are. LinkedIn's use of this data is covered by the LinkedIn Privacy Policy.

Our site is hosted on Webflow, which may set cookies the site needs to work.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you have a LinkedIn account, you can turn off ads based on your visits to other websites in your LinkedIn advertising settings. Our site does not respond differently to Do Not Track signals.

How we share information

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only in these cases:

  • Service providers that help us run the business, such as website hosting, email, advertising, sales outreach and recruiting tools. They may use it only to provide their services to us.
  • LinkedIn, through our ads, lead forms and the Insight Tag described above.
  • Clients, when we put a candidate forward for a role on their team, as described below.
  • Legal reasons, when the law requires it or to protect our rights, our clients or others.
  • Business changes, if CRSS is part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.

If you apply to work with us

When you apply, or when we contact you about a role, we collect your resume, contact details, work history, skills and pay expectations, along with notes from interviews and technical assessments. If you give us references, we may contact them.

We use this to consider you for roles at CRSS and on our clients' teams. When we put you forward for a role, we share your profile with that client, and the client may interview you.

If you join CRSS, we keep the employment records the law requires.

How long we keep information and how we protect it

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires. Business contacts and leads are kept while we're in touch and for up to 3 years after. Candidate records are kept for up to 3 years so we can consider you for future roles, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

We use reasonable safeguards, such as limiting who can access information and using reputable service providers. No system is completely secure, so we can't guarantee that information will never be accessed without permission.

We store personal information in the United States. Part of our team works in Costa Rica and may access it from there.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we have about you
  • correct information that's wrong
  • delete your information
  • stop sending you marketing emails or messages

Email tim@costaricasoftwareservices.com with your request. We'll reply within 30 days and may need to confirm your identity first. Depending on where you live, you may have other rights under local law, and we'll honor the ones that apply to you.

You can also opt out of our emails at any time with the unsubscribe link in the email or by replying to tell us.

Our services are for businesses and professionals. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
